I blame Taylor and Ridge for that, not for causing her daddy issues but for not getting her help. Parents get divorced everyday, oftentimes with the fathers living long distances apart from their children and/or seeing them sparingly. Steffy"s father remained close to her and saw her all the time. He raised her and her siblings as a single father for awhile. Ridge didn't have an affair with Brooke and leave Taylor for Brooke. That's the story that Stephanie, Taylor, and Steffy told themselves. Taylor was presumed dead, Ridge remarried Brooke, and they made a family with R.J. and Ridge's other kids. They were a happy family and when Taylor came back, Steffy and Thomas turned on Brooke. Now, don't get me wrong, Brooke has deep-seated issues with boundaries and loyalty. However, Steffy is an adult. She should not be this neurotic because her daddy remarried after her mother "died". Anytime Ridge actually left Taylor for Brooke, it was because outside parties manipulated him and Taylor to reunite in the first place, just like Steffy has manipulated Liam and Hope apart on many occasions. The show has devolved into the longest-running adaptation of Flowers in the Attic, it seems like.
