I looked at a 1992 calendar online. The baby was born 39 weeks and 1 day after Brooke's night with Eric. But that's still far enough for a full pregnancy. So Brooke conceived anywhere between March 22nd to April 1st. Brooke knows for sure that she was with Eric during that timeframe but can't remember for sure if she was with Ridge during that time frame and Ridge can't remember for sure, either. When you're in a relationship like that, you don't keep track. P.S. Don't think of me as weird because I looked up a calendar, I just wanted to know. I'm a big fan.

In other words, Brooke may have gotten pregnant BEFORE her night with Eric... IF she and Ridge slept together 10 days or less before that night. But they can't remember if they did or not. Doesn't really make things equal, she knows for sure that she was with Eric during those 10 days but isn't sure if she was with Ridge.

Ridge should remember at least the last time, when he had visited his blind father at the hospital and then had learned that the next day Eric would move back into the condo and Brooke would take care of Eric - and Ridge went back to his place, just to find Brooke waiting in his bedroom and BRIDGE had sex, before Brooke would be busy the next day taking care of blind Eric.

Ok, Ridge sends signals to Brooke all the time that he wants the same thing as her. He is very comforting and helpful to her in this situation. This is not the sign of a man who doesn't want a baby complicating his new marriage. Instead, his actions and looks just reaffirm to Brooke that he wants Bridget to be his. Even the way they look at each other after the doctor leaves. They both are relieved that he is still possibly the father.

Sheila switches the samples. But if Ridge really was the father, then her actions would make Eric the father! Also, if Eric is the father, that means there is nothing Stephanie in the baby's genes. Sheila switches the samples and Ridge turns out to be the father, even though there is still nothing Stephanie in the baby's genes. Wouldn't they have detected it? But maybe the next episodes explain all this? I only remember one, the tension between both Sheila and Taylor about the test results.
