No one narrates the history of this show and its primary rivalry better than Stephanie. Her vocal tone here is similar to the one she'll use in the future in her preamble to confessing to faking a heart attack. It's a particular understated delivery (almost like she's narrating an audio-book) that she uses to tell the Story of Brooke Logan.

The contrast between Stephanie's calm, reliable narrative and Brooke's weak and unreliable appeaI to Stephanie's family loyalty couldn't be greater. For example, we have Brooke saying "it isn't a power struggle, it's about love" while the entire scene is clearly about Brooke wanting to _win_ Stephanie and Ridge over to her side of the narrative. Meanwhile, Stephanie is telling exactly what happened and why she can't accept this marriage, and Brooke and Thorne are showing how little it really is about love and uniting the family, by refusing to accept any point of view other than their own. If Brooke's open arms had been a gesture of genuine love and respect, she would have accepted Stephanie's point of view and simply told her she was welcome, but that she understood if Stephanie wasn't ready to be at the wedding. But Brooke keeps trying to change Stephanie's mind because not having Stephanie there means Brooke's victory wouldn't be complete.

SF was amazing as always❤️👸🏼. And this is the contrast between a grade A actor and an OK one. Unlike Taylor a few epis ago who had to scream and shout all thru the dialogue, Steph delivered everything she said without raising her voice once, yet you could still feel her anger and she hammered Brooke every which way. And Brooke deserved every last sentence.

While Brooke has most definitely wreaked havoc in Stephanie's family, Eric left Stephanie before he became involved with Brooke. He didn't leave Stephanie FOR Brooke. But he would have not gone through with the divorce in the end, in my opinion, had he not become involved with Brooke. At 7:30 Stephanie talks about how she had lost her position in the community, her honor and her self-respect, when Stephanie had lost her husband Eric to Brooke. Eric had been Stephanie's strength and source of love. While I understand Stephanie loathing the woman she blames for the end of her marriage, Stephanie should never had to depend on Eric as her strength, source of love or self-respect. She is too strong on her own to really need the title Mrs. *_Eric_* Forrester, but it took Stephanie several years to realize that.
