Finalmente un maestro che riconosce il valore di un batterista dove per 15 minuti circa deve riuscire a mantenere il ritmo con la batteria, uno dei pezzi più impegnativi da suonare. Bravo maestro.

Eschenbach , lo ha dimostrato anche in altre direzioni ( penso soprattutto a Mahler) non si fa prendere dalla fretta , orchestra benissimo il crescendo imprimendogli una forza unica.

Der Dirigent Eschenbach ist genial, aber er ist mir unheimlich! Scheinbar dirigiert er dieses Orchester nur mit seinen Augen und seiner Körperhaltung ! Eine solche Ausstrahlung hatte noch nicht einmal Karajan. Für mich Ist C.E. der "Klaus Kinski" unter den Dirigenten: dunkel, düster, geheimnisvoll und ein wenig spinnert! (Das mein ich ganz respektvoll!)

+Burt Vierundfuffzig Ich bin auch von ihn sehr beeindruckt. Ich sehe zum ersten Mal einen Dirigenten, der ohne Taktstock leitet. Aber natürlich ist ja auch nonverbale Kommunikation wichtig und vorher wird das ja auch geübt. Christoph Eschenbach ist halt einer, der auch ohne Taktstock leiten kann. Aber am Ende kam der Taktstock doch noch zum Einsatz (14:34). Das kann kann ich auch sehr gut verstehen, den ab dort war ja der "finale" Höhepunkt vom "Bolero". Das fand ich sehr gut. Die ganze Leitung hat mir insgesamt sehr gut gefallen.

Love it when Master Chris lets the drummer take in the thanks of appreciation from the audience. The drummer is literally a human metronome that's pretty much the main conductor of the piece.
