Theatrical experience can never be matched. Watching content on 70mm screen with Dolby atmos sound can never marched with watching something on your 7inch screen or may be a 70inch TV with speakers and what not. Theatrical experience and Theatres will never end!!

But lack of innovation is clearly evident in Cinemas….50 years ago also they were almost the same as now except some increase in audio, resolution and that stupid 3D glasses…..even the most innovative 4dx is just some water sprinklers, and fans……..and the seats are not comfortable too…..and once VR comes full fledged in 4-5 years, thats it…..VR glasses and good sony headphones….is a much better experience

@@hasrataulakh you are right. But what I feel is, market of films in India is not huge as west. We have population of 140cr, and if a film earns just 300cr net at boxoffice, it's considered as biggest achievement. Before when films used to hit 300cr, footfalls used to 3cr, now you can achive it by just 1.8-2cr FFs. Even with such low footfalls getting 300cr net still looks very very far for everyfilm. Market in India is very limited, so the innovation won't come so easily, it's just for some films like RRR, KGF2, Brahmastra or may be upcoming Tiger3 that are truly theatre viewing films, covid has made ppl so used to small screens that ppl don't prefer to watch content oriented films on theatre like it had pre pandemic. Big cinematic experience kind of films has to be made, but keeping ticket prices reasonable. Best case study for this would be Brahmastra. 15 days old film, many negative reviews and heavy criticism on social media regarding story and dialogues being childish. But still check the advances for tomo when ticket prices are 75, it's going housefull everywhere. Ppl want to come to theatres, if multiplexes charge minimal amount and have the theatrical experience rather than on mobile.

Actually!! Jab se India me internet affordable huva hai tab se mass audience ko ott platform se Hollywood movies or series ka taste aa chuka hai.. ab audience bollywood movies me jo mirch masala ..ajib action aur bich me jabardasti ghusede Jane vale songs love story se pak chuke hai.. 😊

10 saal me film theatrs khatam ho jayegi...OTT is future.... Aage jaake sirf movie ke liye 3d real life film dekhi jayegi VR pe....mobile phone jaisa Har ek ka VR hoga... Uspe naya movie aaya to reacharge karke movie dekh sakte hai... Wo reacharge movie ka ticket hoga.... Ek aadmi ke liye ek ticket aur 3D movie experience hoga... Public ko theatre me bulane ki jarurat nahi... 😄its business idea...
