This is somehow based on some facts as well. Jesus did came to Tibet n India and his teachings were similar to Buddha. A true yogi can hold his breath n appear dead for hours! If body is not tampered at vital organs … normal people also become alive after being declared dead … so yogis with practices of some special techniques n skills can definitely became alone after 3-4 days ( I believe this ). In Indian scriptures there are few people mentioned to be alive for 1000s of years and I think this story is inspired from Indian culture / civilisation.
