i love how everything in the bolognese traditions is connected - i watched your recent match with axel petterson, and it is apparent that the systems used are well oiled and compatible. thank you for posting this :)

Now I just need to figure out how to put one of these down in my living room, and/or make one that is portable.

Very nice, circular foot work can be very difficult to practice.

May I inquire as to how long you practice on average to acquire this precision in posture? It might be something specific to the bolognese school (or rather 'the italians' - as in your former teacher also stresses correct posture and he is a student of many italian fencing masters) but I find practicing HEMA in general so much more dignified and fun if I stay in correct posture all the time (not only in form practice but also in freeplay). You Sir, I find exceptional in this regard and thus the expression of joy.

+Hans Wurst I think it is simply the result of practicing for a long time. One of the benefits of forms practice is that it helps analyze and improve posture, and then work to bring the same precision into free-form drills and actual fencing (which is of course harder). I see great value and importance in trying to maintain good posture, both aesthetically and in a practical and efficient sense while performing the art, regardless of context. But specifically I have practiced this particular form on and off since around 2008, but I still see flaws and things tro improve. But what is great is that I am not at all bored to practice it more -- especially when it is possible to apply the form in new ways for example in the way depicted here.

+Ilkka Hartikainen When you stop seeing flaws you stop improving. ;) When I watch videos of you in turnements it is always easy to tell witch fighter you are because of your posture and precise movement. Also when you look at the videos from this years Fight Camp you can pick out Ties Kool and Matt Easton very quickly because of their confident posture and precise and purposeful movements. It is definitely Something I intend on working on.
