great video. Question- lets say you are doing indirect fire on a building and the shell does not explore on the floor with a unit on it. Does the unit still get a pine since you did make successful roll to hit or NO since its a two step process to hit.

Hi, thanks for going through the building rules in more detail here. They are understandably more complex than you might imagine and trying to cover all scenarios is not easy! Could you just clarify: you mentioned that flamethrowers had a 3+ modifier to wound because of their increased penetration value and therefore veterans would be wounded on a 2+ instead of the normal 5+. A little later in the video you talked about troops having to leave a building that was 'set on fire', but then described a 5+ being required to wound veterans under these circumstances. Does the 3+ flamethrower wound modifier not apply to troops that catch fire whilst exiting a building that has been set on fire? Logically, it would seem that it should still be applied to any troops 'on fire'? Thanks.

@alexanderpippington9277 pg. 125 "As with HE shots, troops and gun crews derive no protection from their gun shield or the extra protection rule." So with the initial attack the +3 pen would apply. After the building catches fire, use the rules as if disembarking from an immobilized vehicle. pg. 116 "...each unit onboard (in the building) suffers D6 hits - roll this number of hits against each unit, apply damage and remove casualities as normal." Since this damage is from the burning building, penetration doesn't apply. Roll to damage as normal.

I thought it says you can’t fire through doorways. I’m guessing because they’re thick locked doors. So the only thing you can do through doors is assault.

Does the hits on a building stack? If you get 5 hits with a medium howitzer and order an other unit to attack the building as well, causing another 5+ hits, does it collapse? Or does hit has to suffer 10+ hits per shot to collapse? Like do you have to take a count marker next to it to know how many hits the building suffered?

Great Video. If I have a squad of 10 men on an upper floor and the enemy shoots at my squad through the windows. Say three windows. Can only 6 of my men be targeted in the attack since there are only two per window? Or is the entire squad susceptible to fire and damage? Thank You.
