Never noticed this until now, but Bolt and the cat both symbolize the yin and Yang symbol. Bolt is white with a little bit of black in him, while the cat is black with a little bit of white in her. Here’s my interpretation of what this could mean: Given that Bolt is the star of a sci fi/action show co-starring with his owner, Penny, who is the leading actress, and most of the film is him believing he has superpowers while trying to find Penny. I believe his white fur symbolizes his naivety, while the black symbolizes the truth he’s to blind to face or accept, whereas the cat’s black fur is meant to symbolize the hard truth about him while the white is meant to be the positive side to that truth. Idk if anyone else has noticed this, but I think it’s a cool detail I didn’t notice until rewatching this movie.

I love how Bolt and Mittens’ relationship is similar to Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps’ in Zooptoia for four reasons: They start off as natural enemies who form a friendship (Red foxes and gray rabbits in Judy’s case and domestic cats and domestic dogs in Bolt and Mittens’ case.) which is toxic at first due to their personality differences but becomes a friendship as the story progresses through character development. Mittens and Bolt have a relationship similar to Woody and Buzz Lightyear’s in the Toy Story franchise and Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps have a relationship similar to Rapunzel and Flynn Rider’s in Tangled. The Agent and Assintant Mayor Bellwether both served as the plot-irrelevant villains of Zooptoia and Bolt as all their conflict mostly just came from Nick and Judy and Bolt and Mittens’ formerly toxic and later healthy formed relationships, and their character arcs and Bolt trying to get home to Penny alongside Mittens and Rhino and Nick and Judy trying to solve the Nighthowler Crsis and the Missing Mammal Cases overcoming their socially awkward behavior towards each other and personality flaws to do so showing that not all Disney Animation movies need to have villains with external conflicts as they can just focus on the heroes resolving the internal conflicts whitin themselves instead like Nick, Judy, Bolt and Mittens did. Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Moana also apply to this trope with Moana, Maui, Baymax, Hiro, Elsa, Anna and Prince Hans, Yokai and Tamonata and Te Ka. Both movies leave it ambiguous at the end whether Nick and Judy and Mittens and Bolt’s relationships are romantic, platonic or just friendships or not. (Nick and Judy’s relationship is more likely to be romantic as there are many non-canon fanfictions where this happens in addition to them getting married and having red fox and gray rabbit kids to raise and Zooptoia 2 might tie up this loose end, while Bolt and Mittens’ relationship is just a friendship as there was no sequel aside from a few fanfictions (And Rhino, Bolt and Mittens’ cameo alongside Chicken Little from the 2005 Disney animated movie with the same name in Once Upon a Studio.) where Bolt and Mittens mate and have kittens and puppies, and Bolt and Mittens likely due to being neutered by their owners might be asexual.)

this is what made me love bolt and i love dogs even stray's i help them out as best as i can i give them food water anything they need in life even attention there was always 10 to 12 dogs that always showed up at my front door every morning they felt like they were my dogs because i had such a great bond with them and i loved them to death but only 3 dogs show up now because they got taken away and i didn't know that at all and one of the dogs i called duke reminded me of bolt the way he was getting attention from people like that duke would look at me like that all the time to but bolt is a great movie i love it so much one of my favorite movies to ever watch now
