I’m from the US and I don’t understand for Bolton to be the primary owner of his accounts he would not receive notifications for required signatures for these transactions? Not an email nothing alerting him to what is going on with his accounts? A monthly statement anything? Sound to me in order for this to occur the bank & his financial team were working together to keep him uninformed.. The bank alone would have alerted Bolt on these type of transactions.. My bank puts a temporary hold on my account over a certain amount has been withdrawn without speaking to me (especially in one day 😳) Retirement funded account especially a whole lot of paperwork needs to be processed before any release of those funds

I know of cases in the US where fraudulent email withdrawals were done. However after investigation the principal was repaid by the financial institutions.

Our financial institutions are insured so they must refund clients on any fraudulent activity that may have accrued immediately. And this is during & after investigation. It’s been almost a month since discovery and he is still waiting.. extremely Tragic

Well SSL does not use cash so those withdrawals would have to done via cheques which require the signature of someone else other than Jean . Therefore many persons drop the ball at SSL and Bolt should sue every the entire board of directors over the last 10 years

So Bolt Management team was not conducting monthly reconciliation of the account and providing a report to the Legend. They did not have Management Meetings to discuss among other thing the financial affairs of Bolt's investment. Mr. Bolt et al need to take some responsibilty for this whole fiasco.

Guys lets be bit more creative in our thought process. Anyone who has a modern bank account relies on the paper statement and or the electronic online record. Simple put the statements that Bolt appear to have received did not in anyway reflect the account history. As a starter I am sure the investigators have obtained all statements sent to Bolt. I expect those statements to materially differ from the actual information in the account. This will lead to questions surrounding the processes and personel responsible for generating said statements. How is it that the computer and or persons responsible for creating the statement sending out information that was in no way shape or form an accurate reflection of the actual account status. It's improbable that this was the result of a system glitch. System glitches do not affect a singular client. It's very unfortunate that Bolt has people around him who lack the knowledge and insight to handle is affairs. The accounts should have never been set up to allow anyone to remove funds without a counter signature from Bolt.

As a Jamaican and an Attorney I do not see this as a difficult case. At this point the investigation is about ascertaining the mechanics of the fraud. You start with account structure and you identify the persons authorized to withdraw money from the account. What documentation does SSL have evidencing who authorize and countersigned each of these transaction. Why was Well-Gen structured to in a way that Bolts counter signature was not required on monies exiting the account?

The SSL former C.E.O. said that the company does not offer pension plans as bolt saying it was a pension account. The only deal with stocks and securities investments... so we don't know the details of his account as to if he gave the company full permission to use the account as they so please or if persons had to sign off on withdrawals and I think that's where he went wrong.
