I wouldn't call him a "shite manager", he was just very... inconsistent. Like, VERY inconsistent. He has seasons where he's shit, like when he got sacked from Atletico after having a shocking season with them and having terrible results with Inter Milan and get sacked pretty quickly, but then he has amazing season like Leicester's title winning season last year and finishing second to Arsenal's invincibles squad with Chelsea.

uMAXit Football I did watch it when it came out. I know Kante made Leicester tick... but then as it was famously said that they weren't dependent on just one player to win the league. Vardy and Maharez are still there plus their back 5 are the same. Kante can't be the only reason.

martypython That's true for a lot of teams but surely not for Leicester. They weren't a team of individuals. There were even reports that ranieri didn't have an exact plan... he wasn't able to get through to the players etc. There is definitely more to it than just Kante leaving.

Another reason is because the players won the premier league and are only humans. they cant just forget that experience and move on. Once you win the league the first defeat after winning the league crashes you down to 50% of your mindset. you see that things are a tiny bit different (kante is gone or in chelsea's case it was drogba is gone) and you blame the manager. Once you doubt the manager your performance goes down to 12% and the cycle continues until a new manager comes in. Winning the premier league is like a addiction. once it stops you become impatient and want a quick fix. sacking the manager has a placebo effect on the brain. If leicester finished 12th last season then they wouldnt have the addiction and wouldnt go to the board or anything like that.

The late submission of financial records is never very encouraging. I wonder how the League 1 Financial Fair Play rules work into all this and how stringent their reporting requirements are to the FA. I have no affinity for Bolton, but its never nice to see a club struggle to deal with its debt and descend down the leagues.

Honestly I don't find this funny. All rivalries aside Bury just got expelled from the EFL and Bolton are at high risk too. I wish Bolton could survive, people should gather together and help just like they did at Bournemouth 10 years ago. Teams like Bolton with pretty good top flight history shouldn't be expelled, they deserve better.
