I just purchased the clip and love it! Since I installed a trolling motor, this clip makes kayaking hands free a lot more pleasurable. Now I don't have to un- bungie a clip to get to my paddle quickly. I now use the bungie for holding my spinning reel, which frees up extra rod storage space. This clip is a game changer for those who use a trolling motor and have a rudder installed on their kayak. I seldom use my paddle now but when I do, it's easy to reach and put back away.

What size screw did you use to mount the extra attachment? I've got the star mount but the screw that comes with it won't work

I have 2 of them and I have to say I can't stand them.... Cheap made very flexible and not worth the money, IMHO. If you put kayaks side-by-side this thing will dig in to the other kayak as well... Much better options out there.
