Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Just Dropped A Stealth Update With Great Changes!

To my surprise yesterday, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk got an update which hasn't been addressed publicly by Team Reptile yet. There are no complete details on all of the changes yet, but there are some significant ones I noticed that I wanted to bring the attention to everyone playing!
These changes make me excited for upcoming updates that will make this game the best that it can be!

TL;DW -- taxi stops and port-a-potties are now marked on the map and mini-map -- red felix is now part of the cypher roster and is playable post-game -- you can now shuffle and loop songs -- changing areas no longer autoplays that area's song -- pause menu shows total amount and total collected of collectibles i.e. graffiti, songs, outfits

Red Felix was already in the game but he was in the same character select slot as Red. Scrolling one way would show Red and the other way would show Red Felix. It was slightly hidden and it was a cool little hint to their connection to each other in the plot but now both have their own slots which is fine.

Uh, idk if you're remembering that right, I have the game open right now (not updated yet) and there's no way to play as Red Felix. Scrolling either way just shows normal Red, no matter how many times I loop through the roster.

@@myshozuhouse from what I looked at online, it seems like unlocking Red Felix was either caused by, or broken by, some kind of bug, as most posts say that they saw him in the cypher once before he disappeared, or that he's not unlockable without mods. Either way, he's not in my 100% save file that's for sure.

this is awesome, the music changes make me want to collect more of the CDs now, minimap indicators and stuff in the pause menu were a necessity so glad they added that and red felix is icing on the cake great patch i love when game devs release updates that prove they are actually in tune with the community playing the game

Which is great, especially when things are things people have been asking for since release. Steam right now is the testing grounds for the update so they can be sure it's stable for the console releases too. Probably wanna have everything ready and going smoothly for the physical release of the game.

Now we really need a manual save! That's honestly the only thing I ask for them now, the autosave in the game is really wonky, at the time of release I had to redo the last section of the game 3 TIMES because my game just didn't want to save after I finished the story mode?? Ever since that fiasco happened to me I've been really worried while unlocking characters because I fear I might have to redo their challenges again lol

The quality of life stuff is fantastic and I’m so glad they’re focusing on it (nearly all of my issues with the game on launch have been fixed), but I really hope they’re cooking up a new content update or even DLC, I’d love to see some new areas to explore

They mentioned not having DLC. If anything, if we get more BRC content, it would be in the form of a sequel. But yeah I agree, a lot of the issues I had at launch have mostly been fixed

It's funny that the modders already did some of these changes to the game lol. But I'm glad they added stuff that modders didn't get to do like having the song continue after loading and the collectibles indicator. Hopefully there will be more new updates in the future with more characters and audio for the Oldheads lol.

yooooo glad to see reptile's taking the communities suggestions, i remember people talking about how they should keep the song through loading areas, and that things should be marked on the map, also that they should show collectables in the pause menu, so props to them for taking the player's opinion and making an effort to do well by their community

Songs continuing through loading zones, costume swap & taxi stops being displayed on the map etc.) If so.e community made additions were added, I look forward to what else reptile may decide to include in the future, maybe official multi-player integration and dedicated servers, maybe more move styles, or tweaks to existing ones, if they take a good approach, anything may be possible

Little Heads up, the sheath patch is on the beta branch of the game where they do experimental crap all the time before they move it over to stable and have an ACTUAL patch, if you want to try the new features just switch your build to the beta

So my only problem with the Stuff talley is that my problem wasn't knowing how much I have left to get, but more that i have no direction on where to go to find the stuff when im in the level. I PLEAD that they add some sort of icons to the map to tell me where the fuck the stuff actually is

My theory is they don't Wanna do that is so it doesn't have to take away from the exploration/discovery feeling of the game. The only thing now is that it'll be just a bit easier telling which ones are hidden behind Vending machines and garbage cans

@@RisingSonic17well jsrf had an icon for every graffiti soul icon on its map because of how big the maps were in that game. This game treats all the collectables like the grafitti souls from og JSR where the maps were small enough that it was actually a fairly easy task to do. BRC has maps like jsrf tho and as such alot of the stuff could be hidden well enough that you could end up overlooking it and that is really annoying as a completionist. And I hate having to look up a guide on where the stuff is if the game should just have it built in like in jsrf. Idk I just feel like you could have the icons without loosing the sense of exploration you're talking about. I mean just think about the grafitti icons for the bus terminal. There's that whole spot where you gotta drain water and even though the game is telling you there are grafitti spots down there, it's up to you to explore and find out how to drain the water to get to those spots.

So funny thing about this that I'll start pinning as a comment because I learned this very late. This was a very rare bug I had gotten where I had switched off Red Felix at some point during the final chapter and after the update, it put him into my cypher. However, it doesn't work again when you beat the game on a new save. I honestly just got this rare bug and at the time I didn't know it was a bug
