1:40 this was an actual maneuver done by the japanese to lob air to air bombs at US bomber formations. ... Yes, that was a thing. They developed an air to air bomb that would spin up, and once hitting a certain RPM, fragment into a cloud burning phosphorus bomblets intended to burn holes and ignite fires on US bombers... They were difficult to use, and the bombers quickly learned how to avoid such attacks.

@Nathaniel Lee If there is enough power or thrust to generate the required lift(keep the weight aloft in air) on the half wing, then yes it can fly. But it will not be stable in any axis, excessive pilot inputs are required consistently to land the aircraft without much damage.
