It would also give more of a purpose to small planet to capital transport ships, because as it is rn its not to difficult to make your capital battleship just go down to planets, which I dont find very fun I like the transports, also more purpose for fighters to intercept transports and be possibly the main way for combat planet-side

@@WorldEaterEater i've set a rule in my current playthrough, ion thrusters only for large ships. want to make landing on a planet and exploring it matter more, while also making resupply and liftoff more difficult

Space Engineers 2 doesn't make much sense personally, we already have a great game and because of its design, we can just keep updating it and updating it and updating it, so making a whole new game, unless you want more money, is stupid

Because so many people want the fluid water. Since people want that, they will make it. This engine cannot do fluids, the engine they are working on can. Also people want the small block on large block thingy you could do on Medieval Engineers. And as they say, if there is a demand, then there is a need to supply. The game is also a decade old. Them working on a second game makes sense, though its not like it will be available for 5 more years, so yeah. Supply and Demand.

You couldn't be more wrong. The game as is, has many technical limitations due to its really old engine that wasn't even originally designed to handle something big like this. Simply said, there is too much technical debt and fixing it is impossible without a full rewrite, which the new engine is. With it, we will get liquid water, better block sizing, better performance on modern multi threaded systems and modern GPUs all together while making the game look better.
