Trois ans après le très électrique _Nomad_, produit par Dan Auerbach (Black Keys), le chanteur touareg et guitariste virtuose Omara Moctar, aka *Bombino*, embarque son blues du désert vers des sonorités plus acoustiques, mais pas moins ferventes, sur un cinquième album (_Azel_, le 01/04) dont le Jimi Hendrix du Niger, grandi loin de sa terre à cause des exactions commises contre son peuple, a dédié l'attachant _Akhar Zaman_, aussi envoûtant qu'exubérant, à trois de ses amis morts récemment. Vital !

I saw Bombino in Montreal and Quebec a few years ago and bought the album "Nomad" as a result. I was blown away by their stage presence and musicianship. I'm really psyched to see that they are coming back to Montreal this summer.

Bombing came to Northern Michigan for a small festival, Camp Greensky. I was so excited to see them after a friend showed me their music in the weeks before our festival. Tall about incredible musicianship. It was HOT and I understand these folk know the desert but even they said "it's hot out here" LOL Amazing live, amazing people and a very special memory
