This show TOTALLY could have gone for one more season! The music and the actors were fantastic, and the fact that they did a concert shows AND possible stage production shows that this show is STLL amazing. SMASH is just awesome.

I think NBC regretted renewing for a second season, they didn't advertise much for it at all, that in itself pretty much was the shows downfall, hardly anyone knew it came back.

Miranda Miller Yep, I was counting down the days for it to come back. When it was predicted the show was gonna get cancelled a website put up a list of shows that were presumed to be cancelled, fans could vote for which show they wanted to be saved, and whoever won, the website would try and get the show saved (as they'd done successfully in the past). SMASH won, yet even after they tried to keep the show running, the network was just like "nope". I think they wanted to cancel the show as soon as Season 2 started.

They announced bombshell is in production to become an actual Broadway musical right now! They were so impressed after the enthusiasm shown by fans after this concert at they decided it needed to be put on (duh!)! It's going to take some time though because bombshell was written for smash so it doesn't have a book, so that needs to be figured out first

A MILLION thank you's!!!!! I couldn't get a ticket and smash is my life. I went to the stage door to meet everyone and they were all so gracious and kind. They signed my bombshell cd and I was able to get a playbill online. I took a leap and went to NY and I got to at least meet them all plus some wonderful fans. And now I can say I've seen it. I am sitting here in chills. I have watched it twice in a row already. Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I couldn't get a ticket but I was there at the stage door and that was a wonderful experience itself and now I can say I at least saw it. The quality of this video is perfect. And I love that you zoomed in for some of it. THANK YOU! did you get to meet them after? They were all so awesome.

They're not planning on making it into an official musical. After several calls & conversations, I found that this is only for a fundraising event, and there are no plans on turning it into a complete Broadway show. I was even told that although PBS Great Performances wanted to film it for a later broadcast, they would not allow it to be recorded. It's such a shame, because the music is simply magic. But who knows? Maybe one day they will reconsider and make it happen.

I love how even in this performance they kept how the director in the show (I can't remember the name) saw them. Ivy was seen as the more sexier side, the side that knew what she wanted and who she was. While Karen was the innocence, the naive and nervous. I loved that and I love hwo they sort of kept that with what they sung. I dunno
