Following in your grandfather’s footsteps is a great thing to do Matty and really connects you to him. I hiked across a large part of Norway, Sweden and Finland up in the Arctic circle back in the mid 80’s and loved every minute of it, Norway is on my cycle touring list, Nordcapp to Tarifa is one I intend to cycle. Have you got any route data you could share, a GPX file? What was the name of the military road you travelled on? Take care of each other and enjoy your adventures. Regards Alan

From your comments in the movie, The great thing is you adapt, well done for the quality of the video, it’s certainly inspiring. I took my 76 yr old mum across Spain 1000km, she had never done it before in her life, she adapted. I wish I had done a video now. Her next adventure is to the south of France and we will use E bikes for that trip, easier to spread the weight.

The scenery is awesome and that you got to follow much of your grandfathers path and see many of the places he had pictures of! I've seen plenty of questions asking about your route but have not really seen responses to those questions. Is that something you can or would share ... GPX or maybe Ride with GPS routes, etc.?
