Wow. As a teen, I assumed Fujiko F. Fujio had a bit of a dark side, and now Bones just confirmed it. I've been reading about how faithful it is to the original manga.

I grew up watching years of Doraemon, including the movies. The two darkest films I remember clearly were Great Adventure to the demonworld and the Steel trooped Winged Angels. I'm aware of some other dark stories but I'm curious what other dark sides Fujiko F Fujio has

It's from the creator of Doraemon of all works, believe it or not. But unlike Doraemon, the manga this was based on was aimed at teenagers.

This manga is from 1970ish, They could've make the artstyle modern like Parasyte and maybe make it more mature But making it the same exact artstyle like Doraemon is a good choice because it's such a weird feeling watching very familiar looking style for child anime but the content is rated R

それと多くの外国人が"原作"という概念を知らないっていうね... ドラえもんやこの作品がオリジナルアニメ作品だと思っている人の多いこと.... まあ海外の子供向けカートゥーンは大体オリジナル作品だからっていうのがあるんだろうけど

Just finished watching season 1 of T P Bon. I have to say, it has an unusual formula. It is episodic. It is similar to Mr Peabody and Sherman, where they adventure through the past, learn a bit of history, got caught up with various mess, then they escape and accomplish what they wanted to do It has a whimsical characters, humor and music. But it has dark moments such as these random violent accidents that is really gore and adult. I was caught really off guard with the witch trial episode. That is the episode where I felt disturbed and shock for days. Seeing an innocent woman framed by the entire village and go through various torture methods and humiliation. This really caught me off guard since I thought this was just a friendly educational show for young people, since I am used to watching doraemon

you have to read the history of the minotaur, because in the past people worshiped the buffalo as a god even though it was just an ordinary giant bull.

海外の皆さんは、物語の内容よりもアートスタイルが気になるようですね。作者の藤子・F・不二雄さんは「ドラえもん」のような子供向けの作品が有名だけど、だからこそギャップを感じるのでしょう。ただ、子供向けでも青年向けでも、幅広い層に向けて漫画を描くことは、手塚治虫先生や赤塚不二夫先生、横山光輝先生などの巨匠達も行ってきた事。漫画好きな日本人なら、そこまで違和感を感じないけど…海外の漫画家はそういうことはしないのかな？

This Anime is amazing but I feel like my inner child who still loves Doraemon is getting traumatized, I mean, when you watched all this time Doraemon with the same art style and watch blood and this kind of scenes, there's an uncomfortable feeling inside you
