I was fully planning on saying goodbye today. I had music on while I was laying down, trying to get the courage to just do it. This song came on, it made me overwhelmingly sad, but not the type of sadness I had been feeling. It made me sad that I would even think of leaving this earth. i can't express the feeling of the beautiful sadness i feel when i hear songs that remind me of water. i had a friend who drowned in the ocean almost two years ago, and i couldn't stop listening to this song. when he died, i started sitting a lot on this particular bench that had a view to the ocean. i would just put this song on repeat and stare at the water. i'm very angry at the water but it just keeps flowing around all innocent. florence welchs' songs make me feel the same way. im so pissed.

Heard this song for 1st time watching Gran Turismo...knew immediately it was Bon Iver...I listen to this anytime my anxiety is running high..which is alot..they're music is just so calming!!
