This goes to show you that even if you've played a song a 100 times as a musician, there's always a chance that you will forget some part of the song. He's human. I do like the fact that Jon told everyone to stop and start over. Adele did that once before when she was singing a song as a tribute to George Michael. She made a mistake and told the band to start over.

Gee whiz. David is a Julliard trained pianist. How anyone could seriously think that he screwed up this bad and was unable to immediately correct his mistake is beyond me. This was a set-up situation which was done purely for comedic effect.
