Omg the audio quality is sooo good! (edit here: I just realised how much I overuse "omg"). I love this performance and this song, this is like my favorite song ever. Those people in that crowd are blessed by witnessing the miracle of that ONLY ONE in history live performance of this song by the band... and just by being on Bon Jovi concert in '85, or just being on Bon Jovi concert. (Lol, I've never been to a concert). How lucky people can be?? xD Sorry maybe I'm overdramatizing. Anyway thx for the remaster!

One of the best if not the best quality recordings of 1985 thats for sure :) A great song, I really love it too, but Jon seems to be struggling a lot, still its sad they trashed it after the first show of the tour.. and you're not overreacting, i was going crazy when i found out its the only one too! Haha

No estás sobredramatizando... En verdad esa gente fue privilegiada en escucuchar por primera y talvez única vez "Always run to you" en vivo. Aun tengo la esperanza de encontrar la versión en vivo de "The price of love".

On the note of songs that were never performed, do you know if Without Love ever saw the light of day? As far as I know, it never did, which is a shame because it’s definitely grown on me as an unknown song.

Unfortunately, Without Love was never performed :/ It is indeed a shame, it could've been a rare live track like Social Disease

The main riff seems very similar to "Up To No Good" (Lordi, Abusement Park, 1984 ;).

I heard Lordi took some influence from Bon Jovi's work, but it's cool to know they took said influence from this underrated song. :) Up To No Good is also a banger!

Makes me wonder how Jon even recorded the vocals for the song, he must had been in a very good shape, or just took a lot of takes to get it right

Singing a full set live without an ear monitor while running around and talking between songs, versus one full bore take in the studio, are two very different things…
@jollyrott3nn2 жыл бұрын
Most singers did many takes back then to get it right. Vocals like his could take weeks to record
@andrewreed1329 Жыл бұрын
@@nickbrevitz6747 he sings the lower notes just fine, it’s the chorus that’s hard to sing high without falsetto, you have to scream it which is very difficult as screaming damages your vocals and hard to control the volume, if u sing a half falsetto scream it’s easier to do but doesn’t have the same sound quality (which is what i do when i sing along which sounds fine for background singing)

I just wish instead of saying live performance people would clarify live audio. I have tried watching so many live performances only to be disappointed that its audio only and no visual.

The ratio of audio & video recordings from the 1980s is about 15:1, therefor video recordings are the ones that should be (and are usually) marked separately.

And in spite of everything, Jon still copes well with high notes ... It is unfortunate that Jon has written many songs which is impossible to sing live show in the original key. For example never say goodbye, if i was your mother, my guitar lies bleeding in my arms, hearts breaking even, Santa Fe, lets make it baby, always demo and ect... But do not think that he could not perform these songs actually on a live. He could, of course, but songs of such complexity are performed in a relaxed voice in the studio and singers uses unhealthy techniques To perform such high notes. Frequent use of such techniques damages the vocal cords. Also on live shows singers sing 20 or more songs and even at this time the voice chords is very tired. We saw what happened in 1986-1987 when JBJ sang all the high notes of every song, his voice became a shot. So it's even good that JBJ didn't sing some high-pitched songs live and preserve voice for us 🤣🤣🤣

Hahaha yes. He liked to show off high notes in the studio I think. His voice is during better now, im curious how that will change with the 2020 tour
@4RunnerFromGeorgia4 жыл бұрын
@@FighterBJ Yes, he liked it but he also did it live. JBJ is the best singer for me because he was able to sing high notes not only in the studio, also live shows. (And with it perfectly). I think it is impossible for anyone to repeat these songs live as well as Jon did. For example runaway falsetto, livin' on a prayer's key change, living in sin's and I'll be there for you's screaming and ect...

@@4RunnerFromGeorgia Jon is really talented and creative. He has a very unique voice and very unique skills, if you check out any Bon Jovi cover band, the singer probably can sing the notes but without the energy. Jon's voice is unreplicable thats for sure!

It’s a shame Jon couldn’t do it, one of my favorite songs of all time from them, it kind of in a way baffles me why he struggled with High notes on this one, I know there’s others that require more power than this but I guess you can’t be good at everything, (this is just my personal opinion for any of you asshats who wanna take this the wrong way and take offense at it)
