I CAN NOT THANK HIM ENOUGH FOR WHAT HE DID FOR HER THAT NIGHT !!!! SADLY SHE PASSED AWAY IN 2004 OF CF. SHE TOLD ME MANY TIMES THAT THAT WAS THE BEST DAY OF HER LIFE !! What man, in his right mind wouldn't want to sing this effortless, soulful and beautiful? I have such a greater respect for him as a writer, composer and vocalist after hearing this track on the CD. "I'm so far away that each step that I take is on my way home" "the blonde" in his bed could be his guitar.. "while my mistress she calls me to stand in her spotlight again" the mistress is obviously the music, he wants to go home but he can't because they have to play... So it's quite possible that he's crying, cause it brings back the memories :-( like I said, this is my opinion.^^
