Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi belong in the same band and it's a tragedy that they are not working together anymore. These two had such an impeccable chemistry. It is a rock ballad. It is refreshing to see someone who does not get all mushy so dont be afraid to say so. Bon Jovi dominated the 80's and was one of the decades biggest bands. They also had a lot of ballads probably more so than any other band. (of that era)

I'm pretty sure you figured this out, but the "mistress" is obviously his work/traveling (while my mistress she calls me to stand in her spotlight again) Musicians travel a lot. If this is cheesy sign me up for the large platter. The song is lovely and intimate and I'm certain it's for their wives and significant others whom they miss deeply while on tour.

Bon Jovi is a band and Jon Bon Jovi is the singer. 🙂 Maybe Bon Jovi started slightly too late (80's) to be put in the classic rock category, but for me they fit in that category perfectly. I'm a bit too young for it myself (Bon Jovi formed before I was born), but it's the music I grew up with. My mom had a compilation album which I listened to a lot, and while I don't really listen much to it anymore, songs like 'Living on a prayer', 'Always', 'Bed of Roses' and 'Blaze of Glory' are always a pleasure to listen to. Bon Jovi _IS_ cheese of the sharpest variety. I once went to a Bon Jovi concert just to see their opening band, Cinderella, then left. Cinderella, despite that _STUPID_ name (and hair) are much better than Bon Jovi, IMO. Give "Somebody Save Me" and "Don't Know What You've Got (til it's gone)" a listen.
