Ritchie had major problems with alcohol. He didn't show up for work. Jon was his boss. What happens when you don't show up for work?? You get the axe. Jon took over the management of the business because when other people don't share your vision its hard to continue with the status quo. And Jon has clearly given back through his philanthropy and has never forgotten his New Jersey roots. Haters out there are gonna hate no matter what. I don't think he gives a shit. The whole band had problems with alcohol and drugs. Not just one or two. I know a lot of the searches that you do on the Internet don’t say that anymore do they But that is truth John and Richie got in a fight and they were high as a kite and Richie left But I promise you, Jon Bon Jovi has his own demons probably still does. He always talked about his several pack a day cigarette habit with a bottle of whiskey a night I remember seeing them in concert sometime in the 90s in Dallas Texas They were putting on a great concert for a while when all the sudden John comes out and says I just hate this I just really hate this. Are there any cowboy fans out there and of course in Dallas, Texas, the Cowboys football team so everyone in the stadium went crazy and he said I knew I should’ve said that and then every buddy booed him for minutes it was crazy The rest of the band knew he had screwed up and I’m sure that he was possibly drunk. This was before Richie was gone. He was the one tell him to shut up before he even said it. I still like Bon Jovi their music But most importantly, because Jon Bon Jovi gave one of my favorite all-time, best singers nickname “The Voice” and if you don’t know who that is, you can Google it

Here's the deal kids; If Richie needed a time out to devote himself to his home life, then he should have had sit down with Jon & told him that!! I am sure, being a family man himself, he would have understood. There would not have been an angry split. Leaving the band hanging with no lead guitarist right before going on stage was incredibly WRONG!! He'd love to be back in the band but according to Jon, that bridge was burned. So, they all have moved on. Happy Jon got his surgery & can sing again. Well, that's all I have to say. This documentary is really great! Ya all enjoy the new album & hang tight! 🫡

These 2 men's voices very highly complimented each other and i believe their time together was when the band was at its very best. Richie is fabulous, not showing up with nothing said is inexcusable. Both men are very talented but the name of the band is Bon Jovi which means he's the boss. I wish them both continued success. I took my daughter who was 15 to one of their concerts in Kansas City in 1990. It was a fabulous bonding moment.

They were always asking for more break periods but Jon didn't listen. That's why it's Jon's own fault his voice is screwed, instead of taking time off between shows he added MORE concerts, this ravaged his voice so bad he had to inject steroids into his throat to be able to sing every night. It's basically Jon's fault his voice and band are not what it once was.
