This song has helped me through the devorce of my parents. This was also very close to the time when my grandma died and a thought of a sentence I heard her say to my dad “you don’t live to get lived you got a life to live it.” And that sentence and this song helped me a lot, because it made me make the choice to choose for myself instead of the grief of someone else. I know this might seem like a very complex thought for an eleven year old but it worked for me. It also gave me the feeling that I wasn’t weird for doing what feld good at the moment, this being talking to my dead grandma about how lucky she was for not having to experience my parents devorce(she was very close to my mom). It also made me realize that you aren’t crazy, it's the world and that’s what you have to learn to cope with.

+xxvs jons30 I prefer AC/DC...They have more rhythm and it's a way bigger pleasure to listen to their songs, since ACDC music is rooted in rock n roll, blues. Metallica is nothing more than thrash metal noise, except for some good ballads they have..

Jon Bon Jovi isn't where he is for no reason. Maybe the lyrics are fairly silly, but he knows his audience, which is crucial. I've heard those who feel he isn't deserving of any recognition, but I feel otherwise. He does do it his way, and it works!

I can’t believe it’s been 22 years since this great song came out. I was 11 years old when Living on a prayer came out,and that became my life anthem. Then this song came out in 2000 and took its place. It’s insane how fast time flies by.
