One of the most beautiful songs ever sung by Bon Jovi. It takes me back to my girlfriends' sisters wedding, sitting outside at a parking lot having a beer talking to my son; just enjoying the day.

That guy sitting to the right of him has not been given enough credit. Ritchie Sambora was the heart of this band ultra talented, great singer, exceptional guitarist. Jon’s new voice could use a back up that that- Jon’s voice has really really suffered in the last five years.
@moonriver88073 жыл бұрын
He's been given enough credit together with Desmondchild. It's just that Jon is the frontman/lead vocal not Richie. Jon was looking for a guitarist before and found Richie, and I think Richie agreed to play with them not as lead vocalist but as a back up singer or lead guitarist. And during Jon's prime, you can't deny the fact that his voice is amazing, it's just that his voice suffered a lot as you mentioned.

I am absolutely blown away at Jon Bon Jovi's vocals in his live performances. He is flawless singing this. The same goes for Ritchie's voice. If you want to hear another stellar live performance check out Cheap Trick singing The Flame {Daytona 1988} Robin Zander's voice is pitch perfect. Another beautiful ballad. It is definitely worth a listen. Ah...the good old days when artists could actually sing.

Very few rock ballads sounds equally beautiful in album and unplugged versions. This is an exception! Beautiful... hauntingly beautiful!

TheMagpie4Real - I fully agree. It feels more sentimental with the unplugged version and feels more powerful and emotional on the album. Lost Highway is one of their best albums in my eyes. So many beautiful and memorable songs for me.

80sGlamGirl🎸 - While that certainly could be the case, I feel that it improves some songs too. Johnny Cash’s voice weakened in his final years, but it led to a more soulful sound that benefits him.
@TheMagpie4Real4 жыл бұрын
@@TheRogueMaverick That is true. I grew up with my dad's Cash albums (the really old ones), and I always loved Cash. But I enjoy the stuff he did in the end the most. His last record was amazing! His voice may have weakened towards the end - but it felt like his "soul" was stronger than ever... don't know how else to put it.

TheMagpie4Real - Oh I hear ya! His covers of Desperado and especially Bridge Over Troubled Water and Hurt off American Recordings IV: The Man Comes Around are hauntingly beautiful. I watched the video for Hurt. I just felt the emotions pour out.

Hello again, it’s you and me Kinda always like it used to be Sippin' wine, killing time Trying to solve life’s mysteries. How’s your life, it’s been a while God it’s good to see you smile I see you reaching for your keys Looking for a reason not to leave. If you don’t know if you should stay If you don’t say what’s on your mind Baby just, breathe there’s no where else tonight we should be- You wanna make a memory. I dug up this old photograph Look at all that hair we had It’s bittersweet to hear you laugh Your phone is ringing, I don’t wanna ask. If you go now, I’ll understand If you stay, hey, I got a plan You wanna make a memory You wanna steal a piece of time You could sing a melody to me And I could write a couple lines You wanna make a memory. If you don’t know if you should stay And you don’t say what’s on your mind Baby just, breathe there’s no where else tonight we should be- You wanna make a memory You wanna steal a piece of time You could sing a melody to me And I could write a couple lines You wanna make a memory You wanna make a memory
