Bonanza - He's My Son

Ben reflects on his love for all four of his sons - Adam, Hoss, Joe, and of course Jamie. Even though he's not his biological son I felt as though I had to include him, because in the words of Ben Cartwright him - he 'chose' Jamie!

I agree Ben's Love ❤💙💚💛 for all 4 of his son's including Jamie was amazing. But the relationship & Love between Ben & his youngest Blood son LITTLE JOE through 14 season's of Bonanza was A very special and caring relationship that seemed so realistic not only on screen but off screen and in real life as they almost seemed to be like real life father & son which is one of the many reasons that I still love Bonanza and always will . From a fan of 💖 Little Joe 's FOREVER 💖 Great song and an AMAZING TRIBUTE.

Michael Landon and Lorne Green were actually close before both of their untimely death. Lorne Greene truly looked to Michael Landon as his son. The overall cast did not have the relationship Little Joe and Ben Cartwright had, but I use to look forward to watching Bonanza on Sunday nights as a little boy. Miss those good old days.

Actually, when Lorne Greene was close to pass away, Michael Landon went to the hospital to visit him. He told he held his hand and remained silent(Lorne Greene was unable to speak at that point). Micheal Landon said he was Ben Cartwright to the end. I believe he was! Even while dying.

Bonanza for sure. Little House on the Prairie was a big disappointment after reading Laura’s books of her family. Very little of the lives of the real Ingalls were even in the tv series. So yes, I choose Bonanza
