Those water canteens must have been very cheap back then. They are always throwing the empty ones away. We continue reusing our water containers. :)

I always laugh at this episode because when Ben tell Little Joe to get his hair cut it was actually shorter than Adams and Hoss’s hair. Plus Michael Landon was 23 at the time although I think he was playing someone younger around 19/20.

Does everybody know that Michael Landon who played Little Joe died of liver cancer in April 1991! He was only 54 years old so sad!

This episode of Bonanza was made in 1959 when I was wearing a gunbelt round my diapers (I really looked the part)!

What we watched is a father's installment of principle equalling a just moral social partaking of standing on one's own two feet against friends and partially a questioning brother, [ Joseph ] about so-called guilt or innocence and moving forward to carry out just action's.

In the first 15 minutes of the show, none of the Cartwright's were accused of anything to do with the lady getting killed how about that really

Why Is It That Adam Acted Like He Really Didn't Like His Father And Brothers🤔You Could Feel It Even Through The Television That He Felt Some Type Of Way About Them😔🤔I Could Be Wrong Though✨✨

The actor who played Adam thought he was too good for Bonanza, and it showed, odd he had such an elevated opinion about himself given he was the worst actor in it. He fancied himself as the next Laurence Olivier, when he left he went back to the stage, and pretty much stayed there bar a brief stint as Trapper John M.D. When he left his salary was divided up among the remaining 3 led Cartrights, and they were happy enough about him going.

@@NOBODY-fz3im the information I shared came from Michael Landon, it was what he had said in an interview after Pernell left the show. I expect he had a combination of reasons for leaving it, like he had also asked the producers to make it more ethnically diverse, whatever his reasons, he no longer wanted to be part of the show, and it showed in his acting.

Adam started out at being the older brother and having more knowledge and common sense than his brothers although Dan Blocker was the same age as Pernell Roberts. Unfortunately by season 4 you can see he was fed up by then. I understood what he meant when he spoke with David Dortort that it was ridiculous to have the boys never getting married. I think Adam should have got married and had children and then learn what it was like to be a father. What would have been even better was to see Ben as. Grandfather and Hoss and Joe as uncles. Dortort regretted not doing that in the end because Robert’s could take time out from the show to do stage work.
