Similar story with my feral Pumpkin, who came into a house ruled by 2 6 y/o bonded brothers, and they got along well, but Pumpkin knew his place in the clowder; he wasn't sure of "playing", and he could get too rough, though he's come a long way these past 6+ years. 4 years later I brought home 4 month old Ollie, and Pumpkin finally has a playmate! He lived a tough life on the streets for his first 3 years, and I don't believe he ever got to be a kitten - so happy he and Ollie have a similar relationship as these two

Looks like Bond and Calypso have formed a bond. Seeing a cat that is used to fight for resources (food, a place to sleep and such), come out of their shell and show their true nature is the best thing ever. Bond has really come a long way (he seemed to be very untrusting in the first video of him that I saw but since he had to fight for survival in the past, that's totally understandable and completely normal reaction) and his relationship with Calypso is absolutely beautiful. My female cat used to have a similar thing with my previous male cat (may his soul rest in peace), they were literally inseparable and she was absolutely miserable when her friend passed away, so about 8 months after his death I felt that I'm ready to bring home a new cat and that's when we adopted our mini panther. Their relationship is not perfect yet but they will get there eventually (they occasionally have misunderstandings but it never goes any further than a hiss and 10 minutes later they are catnapping together). 🤣🤣🤣🤣 This reminds me so much of when Jingle arrived.... he was a pint sized *_menace._* He bounced all over the place and the big cats. Demon was thrilled to be Jingle's tackling dummy. Shadow, not so much... so naturally, Jingle just *_had_* to jump on him to get a reaction 😁. Then if Shadow smacked him for being a nuisance, Jingle just said "well, *_he's_* no fun," and went to bounce off Demon. ☺

Oh, those two are purrfect for each other! I believe every adult cat needs a kitten in their life at least once. I brought feral baby Cody home when my adult female feral baby Baxie was 4 years old. The two of them were peas in a pod! There was something about them both being feral (and grey) that was different from my other two girls, Penny and Lily. She could wallop him when necessary even though he outweighed her by 4 lbs, and he always submitted to her seniority. RIP my precious girl. I miss you so much!
