@@hollandfray4521 His ending actually seemed fitting to me. Look at the kind of Bond he was. He could never get out of the spy frame of mind. He left and was still thinking like a spy the whole time. They couldn't have ended Daniel Craig's Bond any other way because everyone knows that Bond would never leave and not return somehow. He's always be jumping back into action when he was needed. I actually guessed that they would end it like they did before I even watched the movie cause it just felt like the only way they could say goodbye to this version of Bond while still honouring the way Bond never fully quit
@hollandfray45213 жыл бұрын
@@mhairibrown4957 I have a lot of mixed feelings about the ending, I can understand why he chose to stay on the island rather than risk Madeline and Mathilde getting infected with the virus. But this film broke the golden rule of Bond films, he never gives up and he ALWAYS gets away, that’s the way Flemming wrote the character. At the end of the film we saw a broken Bond and I think that left a soured the film for a lot of people, don’t get me wrong, I rate it an 8/10 minus the ending. Plus Q is very smart, already developed a smart blood nanobots to track the agents so whose to say he couldn’t have developed an antidote and they just keep Bond in quarantine for the time being.

there are many things i liked, but ultimately it just doesn't measure up to skyfall or the others for me. It didn't massively thrill, surprise, or even shock me like the others. My personal hot (ish) take is that quantum of solace is not bad, just overshadowed.
@hollandfray45213 жыл бұрын
Honestly I really like it too! I feel like when people first saw this film they listened too much to what critics had to say before they saw it for themselves. I have a friend who didn’t even want to go see it because they had heard it was awful and after the movie all they did was complain about it. We recently rewatched all the Craig era Bond films to get ready for No Time To Die and they really enjoyed it then and kept pointing out little things they loved from the film.

Everything about Spectre feels like an echo of elements already explored by CR and QoS. Except less compelling. Question for the fans out there: Why do Quantum and Spectre need to both exist, and be both separate and distinct from one another?
@arijeanz3 жыл бұрын
no particular reason, but quantum has been killed pff so in spectre they need a Bigger Badder Secret Society. I personally like to overlook the fact that both exist for no reason for my own personal enjoyment, but I do agree that once you start to analyze both societies things start getting illogical. I would argue that quantum's ideals are more rooted in obtaining material gain, as demostrated by green and le chiffre, while spectre seems to be about full world control through violent and terroristic means, but that gets a little turned on its head when you recognize that white was head of quantum yet part of spectre, and seemed devoted to neither organization. he does something very spectre-y by killing someone (nttd spoiler so no specifics) while being head of quantum, yet he isn't important enough to be a main figurehead in spectre due to his resistance to some of their more evil stuff. it makes no sense.

OMFG YES I think her character had little to no personality. That slightly changed in NTTD (if you haven't watched it yet, I won't spoil it) but still she was a weakly written character and her relationship with Bond was boring and had almost no chemistry. For example, James and Vesper had more chemistry in the first scene they met than James and Madeleine for two whole movies
@hollandfray45213 жыл бұрын
@@МаринаПопова-е3ш you do realize they used the exact same formula with Vesper and Madeleine right? Both of them go from hating Bond, to combative flirting, some sort of trauma, and then they’re madly, hopelessly in love with him. You also have to consider the differences in the two character’s backgrounds, Madeleine has spent the majority of her life hiding and keeping to herself because of Spectre. Vesper never had to worry about that, she just got mixed up with the wrong people. And did you not pay attention at all during NTTD? That entire pre-title sequence in Italy felt like a honeymoon and the entire last hour of the movie when they’re reunited was beautiful (minus the ending).

Personally, I’ve really enjoyed Craig as Bond, they added more depth to his character by showing he’s not just the cold hearted womanizing assassin. You actually get to see Bond’s softer side, get to watch him fall in love twice, the second time he’s head over heels; to me that him him more three-dimensional, also shows Bond can be vulnerable. After No Time To Die, I have a lot of mixed feelings, especially about the ending, I understand wanting to end the story in spectacular fashion but they didn’t have to do it the way they did it.
