I believe the stunt cars in the Bond film had a 5.0l V8 installed instead. One came up for public auction and had plenty of photos to show how it was built. However, there is a video somewhere of the Williams 1.6l supercharged turbo running and it screams like an F1 car should. It's incredible. Yes, if Jaguar had built this it would have been a first with the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari arriving just shortly afterwards, and it would have been in good company too.

+fabulousprofound idk but they certainly faked the chase scenes, since the db10 is basically just a modified v8 vantage and lord knows even base model 911's outperform those by miles.

I think the DB10 has the V8 engine from a V8 Vantage, which produces around 430-440hp. Given that this Jag produces 850.. I'd say it's true.

+Fetii 27GZP The 1.6 litre engine would have purely been a generator for the 4 electric motors powering each wheel. The engine wasn't going to drive the wheels and therefore didn't need to be very big or very powerful. But for a 1.6 litre, it did sound awesome in the prototype though.

They should've kept the jet engine. I'd rather have 600 bhp and be able to say my car was powered by turbines, than 800 from a hybrid engine. Nothing wrong with hybrid engines, but a jet engine... Come on!
