It’s better written, better scored, deals with more mature themes, and amplifies that feeling I got when I was little watching Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time. It reminds me of why I love this show about children’s card games so much.

Whoever gave that dislike obviously never seen Jinouchi survive Ra's attack while he subconsciously pulls out the winning card to win the duel slowly while Yugi appears in front of him to have their final Honorable duel in the tournament. The radiating light from his duel disk as Gilfried the Iron Knight as Jinouchi smiles at the thought of winning and facing his best friend. The chance to face each other as true duelist. Marik's face filled with fear for the first time as he knows that if Jinouchi calls out an attack he would be banished and Jinouchi would win. Suddenly Jinouchi seems to be getting closer to his faithful monster in front of him. His knees shake before finally; they touch the groun. And with that quick fall Jinouchi is unconscious.

I love the Yugioh sub so much. I know the dub is iconic and meme worthy but I really wish people gave the sub a chance too. It's written with so much heart and care for the bonds of friendship that we make in our lives. The voice acting is amazing and the original OST's like this, God's wrath, and of course passionate duelist, are such bangers it's a crime 4kids didn't include them.

The fact that he survived at all is the amazing feat and shows his fighting spirit since he took all of that as real damage
