The BMW engine is the motor block of a BMW motorcycle..its missing both cillinders..wich are pointing out horizontally on both sides..

The BMW engine is from a motorbike, the girls were right. Its missing the cylinders, you effectively have the block that the crankshaft would be in, and looks like the flywheel is in place. Unsure the CC rating on it but definitely BMW Boxer M/bike engine. Nice to see you out and about, NZ is in a lockdown currently, so bingeing youtube.

Its a BMW motorbike engine from an R75 with the cylinder heads removed, from the 70s. It is actually worth something, to right person ! The pistons are still in it , left and right !

Hi Leigh, don't know if you will get to Wales but we have lots of rivers, the three main rivers in Brecon are the Usk and its tributaries theTarell and Honddu the local Canal is the Brecon to Monmouth. Don't know if anyone as ever magnet fished it, I know some people metal detect in the area but haven't heard of anyone magnet fishing. Brecon has a very rich history, including Roman and Norman could be some interesting finds

19:55 is a transformer. Copper windings in the middle, but the square bit around the outside is stacked steel plates, which is why it stuck so well to the magnet.

The odd thing about the UK is that doing this type of fishing probably officially needs some kind of permit which you probably should pay the council or the water ways money to do. They don't clean the canals but don't want anyone else doing it either.

2m20s the metal spikes with the plastic tab are anti bird spikes used to stop birds nesting under bridges etc

I lost my 300kg-magnet yesterday because the wall that was going down into the water turned out to be metal. The top of the wall was concrete, and the bottom of the wall that was underwater was metal. Guess I won't be finding any bicicles any time soon!
