BIG MAGNET Fishing In Amsterdam's Canals GONE WRONG!

It was an expensive day of magnet fishing today! When I first decided to be a KZbinr, I spent all my money to buy this phone that went in the canal so I could film my adventures. I actually walked out of the Apple store twice not knowing if I should spend so much money on a new career/phone. Well, I'm so glad I did because it filmed all of the videos on this channel and we have had many adventures together. So I'm sad to say my phone didn't recover from its swim in the canal...neither did the mic 😭 But I will keep it as a reminder of a dream come true. Leigh, you can get float mounts for GoPros you could zip-tie to your tripod in case you have a phone or camera fall in again (I'm a scuba diver so have to pay attention to keeping my dry kit dry & my diving kit to sink whilst also keeping dry within waterproof cases!) or just add a short length of rope & carabiner to tie it off the same way you do with your magnet rope.

What a way to start out magnet fishing. I'm so glad you were able to find the tripod and your phone, even though the mic and phone were no longer working. I do metal detecting but it's hard work. I'm not as strong for a big heavy mangnet. Wouldn't mind a smaller one more into coins or small stuff. I just wish I knew what weight I would need. Hey mate, I'm not sure if you have thought about this or not. I have a 5 metre waterproof endoscope with led lights. Obviously, if the water is murky and mucky, it's more difficult to find lost stuff. But hey, it gives you a fighting chance. Cheers, brother, love your work. Because of you I have a new hobby.
