It's so difficult getting rid of cane toads, they're so large and aggressive and reproduce so fast. I hope people figure out how to protect their pets at least, as it's really frustrating having to keep your pet inside all day and having your eyes glued to them all the time while they're outside. Edit: I just watched the entire video and couldn't help but laugh when Chris said Snoopy was getting high off of toads 😂 I know it's dangerous, but imagine bringing your pet to the vet repeatedly because their mouth is irritated and they're kind of out of it, only to find out your dog is actually addicted to the toad's poison. 😮

My little Yorkie, Bilbo, would NOT leave toads alone. I was always puzzled about his obsession. We would only have one or two toads in our yard, so I would just move them to a safe place to protect both Bilbo and the toads. I think they were just common Texas toads.

Most of the time the dogs will be fine. They do this because it feels amazing to them, it gives them a sense of euphoria which is why dogs become addicted.

I thought that if a dog licks, bites or eats a cane toad it would die in about 15 minutes according to google. Surely it wouldnt be enough time to wait this long or having it happen nore than once?

Google uses AI now, so their answers may not always be correct. And most likely - if the dogs kept licking or biting the toad (ensuring more and more poison is pushed out by the frog… then the dog may end up overdosing & dying).

As a subscription holder on youtube, I recognized the same video that I've seen before al-be-it in an extended video. Don't you think putting when the video was first shown would be a good idea? I know that I'd seen it about 1 year to 1.5 years ago, on youtube. A good videographer would be able to put the date on it so that it could be seen immediately. Yes, I found it but having it where it could be seen immediately, would be more helpful. I hit the "show more" and up popped this (today's date) but in all honesty it could have shown each date that you have reshown the same program. Like Mar 12, 2020, Jun 8, 2022, Jul 30, 2022, and Jul 11, 2023.

Hello, i love your content so much and more how you save amimals. I need to ask about my condotion of i may get a kind answer from you. My cat attacked me and im 15 weeks pregnant. Does rabies vaccination prevent me death or it won't work as im pregnant? Is it still fatal even after vaccine shots? Is the vaccine a treatmemt for rabies in case it occurred or just a prevention? Sorry if i took long but that im so much concerned. Thank you 💐

I you get attached by something with rabies then go to the doctor they will put you on anti virals and other medication and if they catch it early then you could be ok, but if you start showing symptoms your likely going to die or at least only like six people have survived after showing symptoms and they had brain damage after. Sorry I’m probably being very negative here is there reason for you to suspect or know your cat has rabies or are you just worried about the possibility. Also vaccination are a precaution against rabies and won’t cure it if you or your cat have it. If there is any suspicious that you have rabies or you were attacked by something with rabies go to the doctor as soon as possible.

If your cat doesnt have rabies then youll be 100% fine if it just bit and scratched you. 99% of human rabies cases are from dogs aswell. The vaccination wont stop rabies after its incubation period is over which is between 1 week and 1 year. You gotta have it before that or else you will die. If you think youve been exposed go to a Dr. ASAP even if youve had the vaccination.

Your housecat is unlikely to have rabies, especially if they themselves are up to date on their vaccines and if they are not allowed outside. Wash the injury with soap and water and keep it clean. If you are ever concerned about an injury from a potentially rabid animal (unusual aggression, fear, confusion, foaming at the mouth or excessive drooling, wild animals, etc.) then please get a rabies vaccine. Treatment is considered most effective the earliest you get it and can prevent a rabies infection even after a confirmed bites. Don't wait for symptoms. For your cat? You're going to be fine.
