I throw in a package of baby carrots into the pot. Then when everything is cooked, I remove the baby carrots, freeze them in a single layer on a silicone sheet-lined cookie sheet, and then put into a freezer bag for crunchy cooling treats for the dogs. You can also do this with whole green beans for a lower-carb frozen treat. It adds a little bit more flavor to the broth, and provides a crunchy, good-for-their-teeth treat.

I used my Instant Pot for chicken feet, after 1.5 hours, even the bones are soft!

Bones are soft when cooked a long time. Easily crushed with a fork or spoon. Can put in a blender to crush.

Hey Sandy! Thanks for your comment! The liquid should be strained away from all solid material. The bones should not be fed after cooking and should be thrown away. I hope you get the jiggle after refrigerating!

Do you add water during simmering? Water is going to evaporate....

Great Question. We simmer it with the top on, so there's less water that evaporates. But sometimes I do have to add a little more water after a few hours.
