The patient would have suffered less if he went in with the suction earlier . The hook is not the best tool to try dislodge and grind the mass into a pasty matter. It took so agonizingly long to watch the horror digging go on unttil he switched to suction.... I feel for the patient.

He likely left it that way and refered them to an ENT. That's not something they would address. Bony erosions normally need surgery to fix. Since the bone is literally being broken down.

To anyone yapping abt the doc using hook,pls know that sometimes the procedure can be painful. They hv to dislodge or loosen it first before pulling it out. If u think its so simple there wouldn't be a specialized department of ENT. Suggesting a tweezer/forceps in inflamed,small openings and suction even. Do u any of u experience having a suction done? I did. Even though mine is just a normal infection i was anxious and felt a little pain when the suction doing their work.

Our patients travelled from far away to meet us, so we need to solve the cases on the spot without prep time. That's why our tool is quite different from them.

This was terrible!!!! Was this being done while an earthquake was happening???? All that needed to be done was to detached the wax from around the wall with the flat spatula tool & then pull it forward with either the hook or the suction tool instead of whatever the heck was going on.
