sweet man. my buddy did the same lsa route as you with a aggressive ls3 cam and on his second dyno pull he blew a main and was at 600hp 580ft lbs. im going with a smaller pulley and a gt cam 226/240. 615/615. cant wait.

I want a cam as well - but I'm about maxing out the stock fuel pump, and 60# injectors.
@jakedamus7 жыл бұрын
bonecrrusherSS what i seen on SS forum. our cars have the ZL1 fuel pump so it can handle quite a bit.

Basically you made a american Version of the Holden HSV GTS LSA or clubsport but with more power and extras which dont come out with the HSV GTs, like the larger trans cooler, the camaro Trans deep pan, dip stick and a couple of other items, like the bottom of the car engine cover etc, like i said cut some angled holes to allow air to flow towards the back and engine to help heat escape etc. other than that brilant i will be doing the same on my 2015 Holden SSV Redline which is your Chevy SS import bassically?
@bonecrrusherSS4 жыл бұрын
Yeah - minus the super expensive HSV parts - exhaust, and the HSV performance gauge pack that is on the navigation screen. I really wish the HSV electronics and stuff worked on the American VF cars - but I haven't seen anyone do that swap.
@opecno81086 жыл бұрын
Nice build, I'm almost exactly the same on my Camaro SS minus the LSA blower. The blower is coming though, mine is tuned by PCM of NC as well. Your videos make me confident I can install the blower myself, I've done everything else myself but I figured a supercharger would be a tad more difficult
@bonecrrusherSS6 жыл бұрын
If you swap an intake manifold adding the LSA is no harder. Just don't drop a bolt down the blower into the cylinder head.

Enough power to blast past slow mo-fos on the interstate! I've been very happy with my tune from PCM too.
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
Exactly - and it was worth the wait for a good tune. I actually setup appointment for my tune before I even started on the swap. I've done that twice now! First was with the Vette and now the SS - I have no major issues with either tune.
@ColeTrickle137 жыл бұрын
great numbers congrats.... I'm right behind you with my 09 g8 build (lsa,ls9 cam,kooks id850 injectors and 2.55 pulley) Fighting gremlins right now
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
I have an LS9 cam on my TVS2300 C6 - a decent gain for not much money! I have those same injectors - and my C6 is putting down 580 RWHP.
@ColeTrickle137 жыл бұрын
I'm too old for a big cam and I like a quiet car so I'm keeping the kooks cats and factory mufflers for now. I imagine I will be close to 600 rwhp but would give up a few for reliability. pat g remote tuned the car and it starts but I'm having an issue with the throttle body or something throwing the car into reduced power mode. The first 90% of this deal is easy the last 10% is a pain because the forums and info is dead.
@7071t67 жыл бұрын
I wonder how much decibels is coming out the rear mufflers with the 3" system you have on it ? It would be good to do ameter test for the noise it makes at different rev ranges ? Especially if you can get one set up while you're driving ?
@thesparetire74487 жыл бұрын
How much boost did it make? And thanks for help on the eforce for my C6 LS3 already finished it up on the 2.75 pulley. Thinking of LSA swapping my G8 or trading my G8 for an SS and LSA swapping that.
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
From what I data logged - around 7.5 - 8 PSI.
@GXPFiend7 жыл бұрын
Great Video! This makes me wanna do the same to mine. How loud is the blower inside the car?
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
Mike - if you are just babying it - you wont hear much. If you punch it you can hear it whine a bit. I think if you put a smaller pulley on it - you will hear it more often.
@michaelg5897 жыл бұрын
480 on a Mustang Dyno is about the same as 550 on a Dyno Jet. Give or take a few depending on climate and tuner.
@bonecrrusherSS6 жыл бұрын
Then the numbers are pretty similiar - I just don't know what type of machine that guys car was on.
@LOLewie7 жыл бұрын
Are the longtubes obnoxious loud? I have a corsa system with solo high flow cats. And it sounds perfect. I want the power the long tubes add. But I'm afraid it'll sound like crap.
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
No not at all - in fact at idle you can barely tell the car is on. They will make it louder when you are reving/gunning it - put it sounds awesome!
@philipkeds3287 жыл бұрын
Awesome car! I plan on doing the same to my SS. Nothing to crazy, maybe 500-520 rwhp. How does it drive on the street? I plan on doing the 6/4 piston upgrade, as well as Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Do you think there will be any traction issues? Thanks!
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
Are you planning the blower only? I think 500-520 is conservative. I really don't have any traction issues. Just don't go being stupid around curves, or in the rain - and you should be fine.
@philipkeds3287 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply! I plan on doing stock blower, stock pulley. Maybe headers. Do you think I would hit those numbers with that? Tuned on 93 octane as well.
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
You should be at the same numbers as my setup then. You are going to have to come up with your own intake setup - adding headers at the same time will help. My car is stock blower pulley, stock cam, etc.

Good job, great car, fun to drive, I bet !!=) Question: If I put supercharger, M122, same as Mustang uses, into my Infiniti FX 45,V8, DOHC, 32 valves,... I am boring it to 5 litre, headers, new power cams, ported heads, new bigger CAI with my own made plenum, power pistons, with 10.2/1 compression rate, instead of 10.5/1 compression rate, my real question is: how to program my PCM after, need to do that, after different , sharper cams, and supercharger, right?? My year is 2004, can't even buy tuner?? for that, after 2005 yes, plenty of them?? What is the most important programming to do after my kind of rebuild???? Make the timing earlier??? And, after I am done with my engine, in a small garage, no lift, width only 9.5 feet!!! =(((, should I tow my car into some tuning shop, like you did?? Or could I send my PCM to somebody?? At least to start a car, and finalize tuning later, I mean safely??? Thanks, and thank you for great videos, I have been enjoying them, and learned a lot!!! youtheman =)
@bonecrrusherSS7 жыл бұрын
I'd tow the car and get it tuned. 2004 is OBDII - so it should be tunable. I'm not really familiar with Japanese cars - I'd try searching the Infinity forums to see if anyone has built one of those V8 motors. With your Roots style blower - you are going to need a custom intake manifold. You are going to have to have some fabricate one so that you can bolt a positive displacment blower on top of engine - plus the Throttlebody - some kind of adapter to bolt the Infinity TB to the blower. It sounds like you have a lot of custom work to do - do lots of reasearch and don't get discouraged.
@Eeropolvasti7 жыл бұрын
Yep, I do!! My good friend can weld anything/ make anything aluminium, or else, we'll make custom intake manifold, plenum...also into my Mustang 2004/3.8 litre V6, where I will add M112 supercharger also=) Throttle body in infiniti should fit into M122 just fine= 70 mm! Both cars will have power cams, headers, and custom CAI's, tuning is my only problem, where/ how to do it?? I live close to WPB, in Florida! Maybe Infiniti/ Mustang Forums could help?? Thanks, and one more thing: Do you think, my new compression rate, in Infiniti will be 10.2/1, was 10.5/1...., I know CR should be 9.5 or less with supercharger, ideal compression rate, but if I keep boost low, like around 10...., the most, should that work??? Thanks again, youtheman=) Ps . will have intercooler and meth injection in both cars + oilcooler !!
@7071t64 жыл бұрын
champ well done, just a couple of extra items maybe, HSV gauges which sit when the Extra power pug is near the auto shift is, two of them one is boost and the other is Volts i believe but more importantly i would have put a sensor on the external trans cooler that way you can always check the transmission fliud temps cold days and hot days and confirm that the valve is working on the OEM external trans cooler, meaning that as soon as you start the car the transmission fluid will heat up and you will be able to see it when it drops based on how much time goes by and when the temp or value opens up to allow field to go to the external trans cooler you put on. cheers:) How much extra cost all up to transform it from a Stock LS3 to a supercharged LS3, not including the headers and exhaust system etc. :)
@bonecrrusherSS4 жыл бұрын
I have $3,200 USD in this setup. That does not included injectors/tune cost - as I already had the injectors.

At last. Now we just need an idle / rev video to hear how she sounds now that she lives :) . I am still trying to decide if I want to go with kooks headers to corsa cat back or Kooks header to Kooks x-pipe with the oem mufflers.
