How to progress the story. So to the left of the mirror next to mods there will be a staircase go up it and you will find like a crane game, move the grabber over each game mode sandbox,arena,mods yaknow, each time you go over a gm you will get a ball bring it to you there will be 3 pipes on each of your sides once you get them all the BIG gate will open you will go from there. to continue the story mode, you need to go up the stairs to the generator and crane in the main menu, and put the bulbs wherever the arrow tells it to be. Then you can go to the airlock and keep going on with the game.

James use the crane at the top of the stairs where you select like a model once you have all of them on the side of it after picking up the two batteries in the generator go to the large door when you first come down to the bone lab take a left and then you’ll reach the door press the button and you’ll continue through the story.

Aight so idk if you played Boneworks or not, which is a precursor game to Bonelab, so here’s a lore primer. Monogon is selling a VR system and ‘games’ to that system that are very high end, diegetically far beyond what we can do today. And they’re doing it in the 90s. How? It’s not actually virtual, hell it’s not even actually electronic. You see, Monogon have found a way to access the void, a ‘real’ that exists outside of universes and has no physical laws. Within this space they build small realms that can be accessed through their VR systems. MythOS is the “operating system” behind all their VR projects such as MythOS City (which functions as both a hub and company town for Monogon’s VR projects), which itself uses the Boneworks framework as a mediator between a person’s soul, their avatar in the void, and the void itself. They established egress to the void through the Voidway, a metaphysical/preternatural halfway realm that existed before any of us ever existed. The Voidway happens to be inhabited by some lovecraftian creatures beyond our comprehension however, but they haven’t really made a significant appearance for the last two games including Bonelab. The plot of the previous game had the chief of Monogon security, who also happened to be a corporate spy for competitor game company that also knows about the Voidway Gammon, somewhat betray BOTH companies in order to fulfill his own goals and utilize a backended direct connection to Boneworks in order to force his soul fully out of his body and into the void, thereby attaining immortality. But that’s just a tidbit for you, you don’t expressly need to know the plot of Boneworks, just the lore. Such as the fact that an in universe version of the game studio behind both games, Stress Level Zero, was working on the ‘game’ FantasyLand for Monogon, FantasyLand being the place where our main “character” of Bonelab comes from.

I actually though that the gun you pick up in the first level uses .45 bullets (in reference to 7:03), but when I looked it up, this is what I found on the fandom site (which isn't always accurate but still could be): "Despite being based on the Glock 22, which in real life uses .40 S&W rounds, the developers have stated that in-game the Eder 22 uses 9mm rounds"

Okay so campaign if you haven't figured it out yet there is a crane near the top above the body mall. What you do is have to go to each game you'll see a light come up on their stations you need to bring the crane over there pick up those balls and put them on to the stands on either side and that'll unlock the doors to continue the campaign.

Some crazy stimulation... And Bone works a company called stress level zero which is a fictional company not to be confused but the real one, is developing a game called Fantasyland. During bone works it is a very very early in development. That was 1995 or 97 I'm not sure, now it's 2 to 3 years later. They were mostly finished with it however monogon as a publisher has been really on their asses because it turns out in order to develop their game they kept taking s*** directly from the void. The non-player characters are actually very intelligent and sentient (supposedly), with stress level zero having abandoned the project in order to try to make a Sci-Fi game hint hint next game project name is machine King, monogon has begun using fantasyland as an experiment to cultivate complacent sentient ai. The doctrine is to keep them working. However, they discovered the dungeon which was part kf the game aesthetic and confused it with something monogon was doing to them. The skeletons are nullbodies stylized to look the part and protect the access to monogon's backrooms. The characters see this and believe it's what was happening to the destitute workers they were trading in. Negotiations breakdown. The supervisor for wishing well lift crew 6 decides to give them weapons to inspire violence. He gets others on board as an experiment, but for him it's vengeance. It has the desired effect, and they quickly go full cult rejecting humanity. They begin purging anyone they think is human or that would question the new ultra conservative cult. They've been purging dozens of people prior to you.
