Bones is a good kid. He comes from street ball and his timing in Denver didn't work out bc we were a Championship team that required defense and sacrifice and it just wasn't something that worked out for a young Bones (cost him a ring). But he is good kid and a fun hooper to watch. It sounds like he is now accepting the process more and growing in LA. Hopefully he can grow in the team ball aspect bc his 1 on 1 game and personality is so fun and infectious. Rooting for him. Much love from Denver.

Hey Bones, I still love you bro! I saw that when you left Denver all the haters online but I remember when you used to take your new dog Tresie to the dog park when you lost your other one. The fans appreciate you, don’t sweat the negativity online. Some people just see good and bad and can’t wrap their minds around that you weren’t happy. Ultimately, your happiness matters most brother. From this Nugget fan, best of luck in life!

Love Bones but it is ironic that he left Denver over limited playing time, to go to LAC? And he gets bumped down by Harden? Now he is “waiting for my time patiently”? If he had accepted his situation in Denver last year, he would 1) have a ring and 2) be back-up PG and doing what Reggie is now.
@lebonbon21
@lebonbon21 8 ай бұрын
you don’t even know the reason why he left denver, he never said it was over minutes. not everyone can just decide to leave the team they play for. at the end of the day the nba is a business and teams need to make trades that better their organization. bones is a great player but ultimately he wasn’t the best fit for denver. a lot of the time these role players are traded not bc they want to but bc that’s how the business works. this has nothing to do with him “being patient”. also he became a clipper before harden even joined so how was he supposed to know he was gonna be “bumped down”?

It's a bit unfair to say fans just turned on Bones. Opinions change as knowledge increases. I liked his potential a lot, until it became apparent that team success didn't matter to him. He is about him. He showed signs of believing that he was too great to improve and that coaches were too far beneath him to have anything to teach him. MPJ is the opposite. MPJ has down times, but fans know he will reinvent, grow and always seek out ways to help the team. Bones' attitude was that just being Bones on the court was enough and that he wasn't going to hear anything from anyone.
@effingtheineffable6827
@effingtheineffable6827 9 ай бұрын
Not judging him and his right to be that way. I just don't want that on my favorite team. It's a team sport and I prefer to see them work together, not for themselves as individuals. I can watch Professor, etc for that. I watch a team for different reasons.

Very well said and totally agree. At the same time, if Bones had a growth and change in that mentality and wanted to be a part of the Nuggets synergistic, collective ethos, I would love to see him come back.💛

@@jesstiss222to me, the mindset is "whatever it takes to help my team win." Even a mindset of personal growth is still selfish. What made Jordan great was helping his team beat everyone all the time. It wasn't his jumper or individual anything. It was that nobody was going to beat him. He was totally focused on his team winning and nothing else mattered. MPJ has a bit of that...all these Nuggets do. That's why Bones doesn't fit. He's a performer, not a team player.

Good episode Mike. Certainly don't speak for everyone but I think the forcing a trade during your rookie season, "this is how they treat you when they love you" video, and the family beef with Jamal left us with a sour taste. We supported him a lot and was so quick to abandon ship and act like Denver never supported him. Obviously theres probably a lot to the story that we don't know, but Bones only seemed to make headlines for the wrong reasons in the Nuggets fan eyes. Little ironic that if he would have had a little bit of patience he'd be getting way more minutes this year in Denver than he's getting in LA and have a ring.

Bones is a good dude and a great entertainer, he has all the right to not want to change his ways on the court and nor should he. But this interview also proves why he was never going to work in Denver. He never bought in to the system and the culture. We needed a steady backup point, not someone who throws flashy passes and shoots fadeaway 3s to get the crowd into things. I’ll always appreciate what he did for the team but a change of scenery was great for both parties. I wish the clips would give him more minutes.

didnt this dude try to force a trade in his second year when he'd basically only proven he's a microwave scorer and a beyond terrible defender? it isnt always politics bro, sometimes coaches know you have a weakness that will get you played off the floor especially in the playoffs, thats why he's not getting minutes on the clippers either, if he wouldve just chilled out and been patient he'd have a ring and would be getting more minutes on the nuggets right now. hes a likeable dude but sometimes you gotta take accountability for your actions instead of blaming the fans and media narratives. idk if this is or isnt true but didnt he leave the nuggets bench in the middle of a game? honestly cant help but root for him either way though.
