This episode was SO INTENSE for me. The way Taffet shook Sweets to his very core, poor guy, seriously, shrink needed shrinking! It made me really glad for Caroline, she's like my favourite older character in this show, she showed us she's not just tough cranky exterior, but truly a nice person underneath who shows herself vulnerable to help her struggling friend. And Hodgins I completely agree with his reaction, even if Angela viewed it as wrong. Trauma like that shapes people differently, and even though his joy was kind of morally wrong or frowned upon, it was still a pretty valid response. Also the way Booth almost admired the sniper's handiwork until Bones says he must know who it is. Just...intense.

Bones IS back baby!! It felt like the old rhythm was there. Everyone was on their A game in this ep. From TJ (who is terribly under used to me and in my opinion best writen and best developed character) to Patricia Belcher to JFD. They all played their parts superbly. I loved the scene between Sweets & Caroline. When Caroline teared up and her lip quivered well I was right there with her. And who didn’t feel for Sweets? There were a couple of looks from Booth ,I mean who is he trying to kid that he doesn’t have feeling for Brennan anymore?Plus this episode was supposed to air before Body in the Bag and after the Doctor in the photo. If you keep this in mind, Booth’s looks can be explained as looks of regret over what could have been,but hey that is just my opinion . I was excited for this episode actually ,it wasn't how I felt for most part of the season so far. Sweets/Hodgins and Sweets/Caroline scenes were really good. And I liked how Booth immediately noticed when Sweets was back on his A game. It’s neat to see the way their friendship has been developing recently. Max was funny (as usual) and I love that he was disappointed that B&B weren’t a couple. One of the things that really stuck out to me during Brennan and Max’s conversation was how, when Max gave Brennan the conch shell and started with the, “now I know you would say…” line that Brennan DIDN’T react the way he expected. Instead of presenting the facts, she brought up a fond childhood memory. She’s clearly growing more comfortable with relating to others on an emotional level and that scene was just so…sweet,It also felt very much like Booth and Brennan were talking only to each other in the diner scene and not to Max or Caroline. What mattered to Booth was that he didn’t let BRENNAN down and I think that’s significant.I loved Grave Digger arc and I love your reaction as usual. Thank you

I've seen the actress in something recently and her character was nice, it threw me off so much I didn't trust her at all, she's just so revolting to me! I guess this how you know an actor did a great job in their role.

That Jake guy (i forget his full name (the character)) is supposed to be "Evil Booth." Like this is what Booth would've been like if he didn't work for the FBI or something like that. This is according to the writers.

12:33 I really love Caroline. Patricia Belcher brings so much likeability to the character. But this moment really makes me empathize for her. Under that hard exterior there is a real human being with a kind, caring soul in there.

18:50 Brennan is a great partner. She would risk anything for Booth. "You should have waited for me", even though she knew it was dangerous and not her domain of expertise.

Fantastic episode. I was waiting for it and your reaction to Taffet's death did not disappoint. The highlight of this episode though, for me, was Hodgins. His character is so well written and I like how the situation highlights that not everyone deals with death and trauma the same. Just because people don't respond with a textbook, Hollywood reaction, does not mean they're incorrect or being disingenuous. Oh, and Max's disappointed face when he learned that Brennan and Booth were not together, was so relatable and really very sweet. My only teeny tiny gripe with the episode was Angela using those microphones to triangulate where the shot came from... You cannot triangulate with only two points. You have to use three, hence the 'tri' in triangulate.

1:21 one of the most chilling and intense episodes of Bones. It was probably fitting end to the Gravedigger story line but also a good beginning for the Broadsky arc.
