Дорога трудная, порой тернистая,
Слеза невольная затмила даль.
Но вот заря взошла, и вера чистая
Прогнала прочь тоску и всю печаль.
Куплет 2.
Познал я Господа. И все сомнения
рукою мощною Он устранил.
Грехи все прежние предал забвению
И Кровью чистою Он их омыл.
Куплет 3.
Слова друзей порой звучат изменчиво,
Мирские радости несут лишь тьму.
Я, как дитя, за Ним иду доверчиво,
И путь свой полностью вручил Ему.
Куплет 4.
На сердце стало так светло и радостно,
Идти за Ним вперед мне так легко.
Душа наполнена надеждой сладостной,
И цель заветная недалеко.
TRANSLATION (not super accurate):
Verse 1.
The road is difficult, and sometimes thorny,
An involuntary tear eclipsed the distance.
But now the dawn has risen, and pure Faith
has driven away the loneliness and all sadness.
Verse 2.
I know The LORD, and all the doubt I had,
with a mighty hand He removed.
Sins are all in the past, He delivered them to destruction,
And with pure blood He washed them clean.
Verse 3.
The words of friends sometimes are changing,
Worldly pleasures bring only darkness.
I, like a child, follow Him trustingly,
And I completely entrusted my path to Him.
Verse 4.
My heart became so light and joyful,
It is so easy for me to follow Him forward.
The soul is filled with sweet hope,
And the cherished goal is not far away.
