BONG REVILLA's 57th BIRTHDAY & 50th SHOWBIZ ANNIVERSARY ||

"Inside Showbiz with Aster Amoyo" recently graced Sen. Bong Revilla's double celebration at the grand ballroom of Okada Manila. Dubbed as "Idol Ko si Bong", it's the celebration of the famous actor-politician's 50th anniversary in showbiz and his 57th birthday as well. The venue was filled with Bong's movie posters and memorabilia all the years. It was a star-studded evening where luminaries from both politics and show business were in attendance. Some of the brightest celebrities spotted during the event were Senators Miguel Zubiri, Martin Romualdez, Bong Go, Grace Poe, Imee Marcos, Manny Pacquiao, Cynthia Villar, Jinggoy Estrada and Robin Padilla and actors Maricel Soriano, Beauty Gonzalez, Phillip Salvador, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Lito Lapid, and a lot more including GMA and ABS-CBN bigwigs. One touching part of the program was when all of Bong's children serenaded him with a song. His lovely wife Lani Mercado also sang three songs namely, "Somewhere", "Till I Met You" and "Ikaw", which is their theme song. In his speech, Bong thanked everyone who contributed to his success: from co-workers, well-meaning friends and family. Capping the celebration was Bong and Lani's duet of the song "The Prayer." To Bong, happy birthday and happy golden anniversary in showbiz!
