Bonito & Fluke Fishing off Freeport, Long Island | S22 E02

Late summer in the New York Bight offers a great opportunity to catch a variety of species. Fluke, of course, are the most popular, but warm-water visitors like the Atlantic bonito and Spanish mackerel keep things interesting.

It was awesome being part of my first ever OTW episode and catching my first Albie of the year! Doug and DJ are a great crew. Believe it or not, that albie was my only one of the season. They just didn't show up this year, although Montauk had a surprise run in late-fall.

We used different rods for trolling because there were BFT in the area also
