Awesome vid saw some insane small bonny action on the surface this morning from my boat 😅 unfortunately only had the marlin Rigs on board 😢what lure, spoon, popper or jig did you guys use?
@LandItFishing3 ай бұрын
Just any small metal spoon that’s like two or three inches long and silver preferably

Awesome thank you so much for the tip will definitely help preparations for my next competition, and is there a certain depth they love or, is it all based on seeing them and then working the area?

@LandItFishing thanks for all the info brother, this info will help me tremendously. I just have one more question what do you think about trolling these small spoons? I was thinking of maybe using a small planer or very light weights to cover most columns like one deep one mid and two spoons close to surface while having two descent spinning rods ready to go if I spot some surface activity?
@LandItFishing3 ай бұрын
@@SwansonYT it’s not a bad idea. Remember if you see them while boating around and are trolling, don’t troll straight through the school but rather troll around the edges.

@@dakingcheese3661 yeah man no problem, time on the water is just the biggest thing. You’ll get one eventually. They can be pretty stubborn with biting but if you throw enough times more often than not you’ll hook up

That is not a bonito. If you are from the us that can be an allitteratus or a mackerel
@LandItFishing9 ай бұрын
It’s technically a Bonita or false albacore
@Davide6089 ай бұрын
@@LandItFishing definitely not a bonito. A bonito is a palamita. Horizontal stripes across the whole body. And they don't pull like that

@@LandItFishing is in my first comment. Euthynnus alletteratus. Full scientific name. The best tasting tuna in the water. In Italy it is called simply alletterato, in Australia they don't have it but they are sure as hell that it's the mackerel tuna (is not, two dots instead of 5). People make a lot of confusion, they're almost the same after all. Aesthetic differences are minimal 😉😎 great catch btw
