those are mackerel tuna.. different family altogether..

They both fall under the Scombridae family. As far as table fare. Either you like them or you don’t. I like them pan fried and smoked. Fish on!

@@JigJigPow619 yeah.. same family.. whole different branch though.. the bonito are an entirely different thing from the true tuna, the mackerel tunas, etc etc.. the snake mackerel, true mackerel, jack mackerel, Atka mackerel, and butterfly mackerel are not related at all, belonging to vastly different species from anything called a scombrid..
