What I love about this song is that it perfectly describes a time when a couple could count on each other to make a living day by day, from paycheck to paycheck, because in the end it would all worth it because of a simple bless: they have each other. Nowadays you work your soul off for almost nothing, people are more interested in other people lives, how "they" get it better, how "they" always look happier on Instagram, and then that person you thought would hold the world together with you leaves for someone else with more money, to go party almost everyday, take pictures and to live a fake synthetic life made just for show; or tries to backstab you in the name of oportunism and pure hypocrisy. Then you realize you probably will never be able to afford a home, or a significant other to just lay by your side in bed and say it's ok, it will all be alright. Life changed. The world changed. And if you read until here thinking the same, I honestly hope everything gets ok to you, keep livin' on a prayer, you and me both deserve it.

My Nana LOVED this song! She insisted we played it at every family BBQ. She sadly died on her 73rd Birthday on December 16th 2023. She had a great taste in music and she lived a great life. I’ll miss her for the rest of my life. Love you forever Nana❤️

I’ve gotten my wisdom tooth removed yesterday. After the surgery, while still recovering from that anesthesia, I remember that I kept singing this song over and over again. I was with my younger brother when we went to see Bon Jovi at Bayfest in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and we had a blast because Bon Jovi played the song playing above too.
