@DJ - Just watched your version, really enjoyed it. Strikes me as a cross between Mike Hugg's original, All Along the Watchtower (but an acoustic version of the Hendrix version, if you know what I mean) and Neil Young. I also discovered it on floppy disc. Music Scene, Nov '72; Slade "The Whole World's Going Crazee" on the A-side. I like your taste in other music too. Didn't notice if you have seen John Martyn's Transatlantic version of May You Never. One of my Top Ten ever performances.

@TheRunner75: Asus4. Hold the Am and add D (2nd string, 3rd fret) with pinky. In feel it's Am,sus4 Then Em (accentuate E bass). Add a G bass by shifting the third finger from the 4th string, 2nd fret to bottom string 3rd fret. (That'll be second finger if you use first and second fingers to play Em). This G bass Em (added D) is a very powerful modal sounding chord. Let all six strings ring, The exposed D makes a powerful modal chord.(my favourite chord of the song). Am to finish section. Repeat.

Nicely done, John, I've been playing this song ever since I heard it on a free flexi- single many years ago. You're the only other singer I've ever heard perform it.
