And it's sad too, because even though Plec and Dries tried to ruin their romantic feelings for each other by adding scripted words that's supposed to downgrade their chemistry together, like..."Best friend", Or always having them keep mentioning Elena's name constantly to remind the fans that she will never let them be together....the actors played it out like they were in love. Their chemistry is so hot that it just pops off the screen. The only fans I've noticed that thought they didn't have any were of course Delena fans.

See, I'm not the only one who thought that. Julie vicariously lived through Elena/Nina and Caroline Dries lived through Caroline Forbes. They made sure their avatar characters got all the men fighting for them and over them. But Kat/Bonnie was shitted on the whole series. And the fact that she went out of her way to keep them apart the majority of the series, didn't matter, because the actors are so close and their chemistry is out of this world, that it burned hot on screen anytime they were together on screen.
